INJECTORK: Tuned Port Power for Big Block Chevy Engines!
The Big Block Chevy V8(396/402/427/454/502) is one of the most powerful and long lived gasoline engines ever built. Early high compression versions of this engine produced stump-pulling torque and powered some of the world's quickest and fastest race cars. However later versions, with low compression and small ports, produced insufficient torque for many applications. This was especially true in the case of RV's, motorhomes and tow vehicles . In addition, many owners of big block cars and street rods wanted the precision fuel control, smooth driveability and excellent fuel economy of EFI. ACCEL's answer to this challenge is the Injectork tuned port fuel injection system.

Long Runners Make All the Difference
The Injectork system features a huge box-type plenum that contains large runners leading to each individual intake port. This runner length produces a significant torque increase (50 ft. lbs. or more) at the 2500 RPM torque peak!

This torque peak is the critical power point for most high-load applications such as Class-A Motorhomes, fifth-wheel tow trucks and similar heavy-duty vehicles. Fifty foot-pounds, when multiplied by the torque converter and transmission, will increase to over two hundred foot-pounds of increased available torque for safer passing, easier hill climbs, or increased loads. Eight Injectors for Precise Fuel Control
The Injectork is a true tuned-port system with eight individual injectors positioned in the intake ports. This allows precise fuel metering for excellent torque and exceptional fuel economy. Max Flow for Max Power

Microprocessor Technology for Outstanding Driveability
Each system incorporates a powerful computer system that constantly monitors a variety if sensors to ensure outstanding power, economy and driveability.

A coolant sensor adjusts for cold start. A air sensor considers air density and temperature. The throttle position sensor, in concert with the manifold absolute pressure sensor, adjusts fuel supply for speed and load. These sensors are monitored and adjustments are made many times per second so the driver is unaware of the changes. It's just crisp, powerful performance.

The Magic of Tuned Port Fuel Injection
The Injectork Fuel Injection System is a high torque system developed to enhance the low RPM power output of GM's big block engines. The method used in this system is straight out of the hot rodder's bag of tricks. For years, oval track and drag race tuners built fuel injected engines with intake lengths tuned to produce peak power at specific RPM.

The principle is simple. Air moving through the intake runner has momentum that builds the "ram effect" pressure when the intake valve closes. Take advantage of that "ram effect" and torque and horsepower will increase accordingly. Short runners work at high RPM and long runners work at low RPM.

This ram effect is not practical on carbureted street engines because the fuel tends to puddle in the runners. However, EFI engines inject the fuel directly into the intake valve area at the precise time, eliminating fuel control problems while maximizing power.

The Injectork system uses runners tuned for the 2400-2600 RPM range, increasing torque 50 ft. lbs. or more. So if you want some extra "grunt" for safer passing, heavy loads or just plain fun, the ACCEL Injectork is the way to go!
