Power Processors (DFI)The software allows changes to be made while you are driving the vehicle. This is an awesome tool for the performance enthusiast. This system is appropriate for virtually any fuel injected engine, 2,4,6,8 cylinder, turbo, supercharged, blown etc.. Even radical cams can be dialed in to render smooth accelleration and greatly enhance street driveability. FIS will pre- program the computer before it is shipped.
The calibration will get the engine started and running. Fine tuning is then performed by the user. When you get to the point where the stock computer and chips don't provide the desired results, this is the way to go.
These systems are appropriate for Throttle Body Injection, Tuned Port Injection and Multiport Injection. Sequential Port Injection systems are also available. These systems are capabable of "Closed Loop" or "Open Loop" operation. It even features control of NOS with automatic engagement based on Throttle Position and RPM. Spark is automatically retarded with preset paramaters.
These systems are also ideal for Turbo and Supercharged applications since you can dial in both the spark and fuel curves. Two and three BAR map sensors are available to sense boost and adjust spark and fuel curves automatically.
CALMAP Software
This is the ultimate in the developing custom calibrations for high performance
engines. The software allows, "On Line" and "Off Line", adjustments to be made
to the ACCEL Digital Fuel Injection Power Processors. The software kit comes
with a 20' or 5' interface cable, A Users Manual, and a floppy disk which contains
the software. The software is "User friendly" and should be considered a must
for all modern performance shops. You will be amazed with the capability of
these systems. Just imagine setting and adjusting the spark curve for your distributor
from a laptop computer in the vehicle while you are driving down the road. You
can even download a completely different program to the ECU while cruising down
the highway.
Snap shots can be taken using CALMAP Software. As an example, you could record snapshot of a 1/4 mile run and review the engine performance to determine if the engine is running rich / lean or detonation is occurring.
This system is a complete fuel management system and is completely programmable using an IBM or compatible PC or Laptop computer.
This will give you an operational port fuel injection system utilizing the latest in automotive technology. The Manifold Air Pressure sensor, Throttle Position sensor, Oxygen sensor, Coolant Temperature and Manifold Air Temperature sensors, will function to control the injector flow rate so as to maintain ideal fuel air mixture under all load and idle conditions.
